Pale yellow to colourless, lustrous crystals or white powder 

Odour 

Slight Odor, and effloresces in dry air.

Solubility

Slightly soluble in water, in chloroform, and in ether, very soluble in boiling alcohol, soluble in alcohol, sparingly soluble in boiling water

Physical Characteristic

 

Melting Point 

Dried in vaccum at 60°C for 2 hrs, it melts at about 103°C.

Should match with standard Dry over a suitable desiccant for 4 hrs.
